A coloured base specific for this effect and a second layer with the Cracklé paint. Both paints can be tinted to be the same colour or they can be contrasting colours. A topcoat is suggested to be applied to protect the finish. This can be a semi-gloss or gloss depending on the requirements.
The main difference between the Cromas professional products and other similar products is how our paints allows the user to better control the size of the cracks. This is very important when the painting involves series production. To achieve consistent results, the operator should use the same painting mix, spray room conditions and application times for each paint.
The classic Cracklé paint is generally made up of two bases of contrasting colours, such as a black or red background and a white or cream cracking. Many combinations of colours are available including all RAL colour s and some metallic colours. Contact our technical staff for more information.
A sample kit of this paint effect is available for purchase. The sample kit will have 1 kg of each paint needed to make the effect. We supply primer, special effect paints, topcoat (if needed) and hardener and thinner for spraying. This can paint a 3-5 m2 area.
